WhatsApp sends a verification code to a phone number. A virtual number can receive that SMS when the route is compatible with the app. It is not a replacement for your everyday SIM, and it is not a way to evade a ban or to open accounts against WhatsApp's rules.
What the virtual number does
You pick a number on SMSBear, enter it in WhatsApp, and read the code in the dashboard. The intended use is confirming an account you own, for example so your personal number stays off a signup you want to keep separate.
WhatsApp can reject numbers from some carriers or ranges. Choose a number listed for the service, and do not fire dozens of attempts if the code does not arrive.
Step by step
- 1Open the dashboard and search for WhatsApp
- 2Select the country. The price is shown before you confirm
- 3Copy the full number, including the country code
- 4In WhatsApp, start signup with that number and request the code by SMS
- 5Return to SMSBear and use the code shown in the dashboard
- 6Finish verification while the number is still active
Limits to know
- The number is temporary and stops receiving SMS when the period ends
- Not every route will be accepted by WhatsApp
- Verification must follow WhatsApp's terms and SMSBear's terms
- Do not use the service to recover someone else's account or to bypass a ban
If delivery fails because of a problem on our side, a balance refund follows the terms of use. The conditions are described there before you buy.
